There is no other truth that is perhaps more of a cause to worship God than the truth of the gospel. I come with all my sin, stain, shame and guilt – utterly repulsive – and I present it to a holy God. He in turn responds in love and replaces my sin with the righteousness of Christ. God then looks at me through the eyes of love with which He looks on His own son. What mercy! Humbly before Jesus’ cross we come with nothing but sin receiving the riches of Christ. I praise God today for his grace.
